Panic buying and self employed

So why are Brits behaving like total selfish morons?
Is it just our mentality, like our superior penchant for global football hooliganism or maybe an extension of psychology similar to that of the teen’s seemingly so hell bent on stabbing in each other to death?
Looking at other countries behaviour makes it even more embarrassing at just what sort of brainless society we seem to have become! I suppose it’s the obvious consequence of the second generation of kids who have had children both within a period when they got away with poor behaviour at school and no punishment was dealt out.
Since the Jeremy Kyle show ended it also means have these brain dead goons can’t get on the show as toothless chav guests and they can’t just stay at home in bed watching it….so they have to go somewhere and i reckon it seems they are now zombie’ing their way to the shops and spending their benefits money on all the stuff the rest of us (who contribute to the country) are left with empty shelves. Meanwhile the deadbeats are then going home and re-selling it all on ebay at exorbitant prices. Scientists need a ready supply of guinea pigs to experiment with vaccines and I propose these people as perfect subjects.
Meanwhile the ‘self-employed’ (and the Labour party) were actually moaning that the Governments gesture of paying 80% of peoples wages who have been laid off is simply not enough!!!!! No other country’s Government has offered anything remotely close to that.
Self-employed workers have for decades being widely acknowledged for the personal, individualistic culture of ‘cash in hand’, ‘mates rates’ and favours for favours with significant amounts earned never getting declared to the Inland revenue as contributions to the country. Comical that this set of workers now want the country to give them what they never passed over in the first place! The self-employed scoff at workers on minimum wage; they are their own bosses, they work the jobs and hours they want, they can charge what they want and they joke about what they earn compared to what they declare to HMRC.
Gig economy workers also often choose this set up as Deliveroo, Uber eat riders and other such positions because it suits their lifestyle, the hours, the options to pick and choose their days and the times to be available. It is widely admitted by many that the zero hours contractors actually benefits them because they are still showing as not hitting the (official) earnings to start re-paying their huge student loans.
Of course both sectors have some disadvantages too. Unpaid holidays and only getting paid when you work are just part of the differences….but is it really fair that the government have to bail out people whose sectors traditionally take more than they give.
Nobody wants the economy to freefall, nor do we want to lose skilled tradies but perhaps their future attitudes need improving now they are included.
