Olympic Games

Both the IOC and the Japanese have seemed very reluctant, even deluded, to be desperately burying their heads to covid19. They both adopted a tactic of trying to underplay the global pandemic, hoping a magic wand would allow the games to start as planned on 24th July.

Not only does this show that greed, politics and self-interest was their priority....more telling was just how little thought or understanding was afforded to the athletes. The very competitors who makes the Olympics come alive looked to be pretty far down the consideration list.

Not surprising to me that the sheer lack of concept of understanding their training programmes, the training, the timing to ‘peak’ at the right time and finely crafting both their skills and physiques to be exactly in the best place possible at the exact correct time.

This almost disregard of the competitors would, I suspect, have carried on for many more weeks without consideration. I was delighted to see Canada took the proactive and decisive stance of withdrawing their whole squad ‘to protect our athletes’ rather than letting the farce continue. Australia quickly followed and then the IOC and Japan started to step up and take things more seriously that the date was not going to be possible. I say well done to both countries for forcing a discussion and pushing forward what was an important decision which every athlete needed to hear.

Now coronavirus and transgender are very separate topics, but taking Canada and Australia as examples I sincerely believe all biological WOMEN should officially inform the IOC they are withdrawing from the next Olympic Games giving the reason ‘to protect our athletes’. I believe this is the only way the IOC will sit up and take note; certainly it will be a decisive action if the females opt to boycott the games.

If the politically correct brigade is prioritised over the common sense contingent then there is literally no point women bothering. With the likes of Rachel Mckinnon or Veronica Ivy (or whatever this confused person ‘identifies’ as on any given week) and Laurel Hubbard audaciously stealing medals like cuckoos in a sparrows nest, these because these shameless individuals need to be highlighted for what they are. So if the IOC is hell bent on allowing them to compete as women then let the female categories put on an Olympics without any biological female competitors and we will see the show on a global stage.

Canada and Australia certainly showed that making a stance and withdrawing made the IOC immediately take note, they were not expecting the tail to try wagging the dog! BUT it showed this week that in certain circumstances it does actually work. I for one cannot see a better way to tilt the IOC off its arrogant axis that by having 50% of the events put at risk by the ludicrous policy they are swaying more and more towards for the sake of ‘inclusion’.

Put trans athletes in the men’s category.
